Take it easy on yourself, mkay? You and Cuna haven't been together all THAT long-but it really doesn't matter. Everyone needs to go at the pace that is right for them. You guys will go so far, no matter what "level" that amounts to. You have something special with him...take care of each other, that's all that matters:)Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08665170020323796310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-647406862592675556.post-68051149930854077992012-05-29T18:42:37.867-06:002012-05-29T18:42:37.867-06:00i reccomend the jumper stuff:) not only is it fun ...i reccomend the jumper stuff:) not only is it fun but Cuna is good at it! and Cuna can be a bit of a handfull on the cross country but in the ring he is super super!!! of course:)Katie McKinstryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13393492416067348089noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-647406862592675556.post-28100563822821820462012-05-29T17:25:15.962-06:002012-05-29T17:25:15.962-06:00Can't blame you for loving the photo! Can't blame you for loving the photo!Domhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00139769676714813261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-647406862592675556.post-66457428118435432202012-05-29T16:26:02.226-06:002012-05-29T16:26:02.226-06:00Be honest with yourself about it. If you don't have it, it's just not worth it to take the risk.

I had a super x country horse and did really well until we moved up a level and met a fence combination neither one of us could quite figure out. If I'd had the nerve, I am sure I could have pushed him to jump it, and he certainly had the ability, but the mental block kept us on the ground. I knew then my eventing career was over. I rode a couple more at the lower levels, just to satisfy my horse and me and then moved on to dressage. (With some hunter/jumper stuff now and then.)

Trust your feelings.Jeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10029423500476995817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-647406862592675556.post-28415311074867727762012-05-29T16:12:24.313-06:002012-05-29T16:12:24.313-06:00Too much pressure on yourself! It doesn't matter if it takes TEN xc schoolings - it takes what it takes and trying to rush your own mental state is going to make it worse instead of better. Confidence builds slowly over time, no matter what horse you have.

That being said, there is nothing wrong with having fun on your horse doing jumper shows. =) Start that blue ribbon collection.Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15925650148327532110noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-647406862592675556.post-26128201062590210502012-05-29T15:25:31.338-06:002012-05-29T15:25:31.338-06:00Well, as far as I'm concerned, you're pret...Well, as far as I'm concerned, you're pretty brave to jump over anything as high as that jump in the first picture! If cross country courses aren't your thing, then they're not your thing. No shame in that.

I like grooming for other people way more than showing or going to clinics myself.. Much less stressful!A Work In Progresshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14076863943914879567noreply@blogger.com
