Shock and Awe

Stephanie had a dressage lesson today, so I stayed late to watch. I very consciously stayed out of the line of sight of the instructor, but stood close to her so I could hear. It was an excellent lesson, but at the end of it, I was most impressed by this:

The instructor had perfect hair, perfect skin, perfectly clean clothes, smelled lovely, and could ride the snot out of anything without ever leaving the small arena. Did I mention she's also pregnant?

HOW DOES SHE DO IT???

A competition shot of the instructor, duly kyped from facebook.

  1. Clearly there must be magic involved. I mean, really, is it possible to leave the barn without horse dirt/snot/slobber on you??

  2. I don't get the horse slobber bit, but as to the riding, let's start with hours of hard work, talent, and a body that suits the sport. After that, add in a dose of dedication, and we'd meet her at least half way.

Perhaps she dresses in teflon??? *giggle*

  3. Someone else to clean her horse : P Or her horses are scotch guarded. Just looking at mine leaves me covered in hair, dander and mud...

  6. LOL too funny! Having a bunch of grooms/working students helps with the staying clean part lol. After working with someone who was pregnant (my boss) . . . don't think I ever want to do that again. Hehe.

  7. I feel like I smell like horses even when I haven't been to the barn in a day... and my clothes are permanently dirty: all my barn clothes are stained by who-knows-what, to say nothing of the layers of dirt I seem to take home from every barn visit. Sheesh!
